Check the vial size before you calculate. This is a 1 mg vial, a tenth of the 10 mg standard elsewhere in the catalogue, so the same reconstitution volume gives a tenth of the concentration. One millilitre of bacteriostatic water yields 1 mg/ml, or 1000 mcg/ml.

IGF-1 LR3 is an engineered analogue of insulin-like growth factor 1, 83 residues against the 70 of the native protein. Two modifications account for the difference and for the name. Arginine replaces glutamic acid at position 3, which is the R3 part. A 13-residue N-terminal extension, MFPAMPLSSLFVN, is the Long part.

Each modification does something specific. The Arg3 substitution cuts affinity for the six IGF binding proteins that normally sequester circulating IGF-1, leaving a much larger free fraction. The N-terminal extension adds protease resistance. Between them, reported elimination half-life runs into the tens of hours against roughly ten to twenty minutes for unbound native IGF-1, although published figures vary and the batch certificate is the better reference.

Signalling runs through IGF-1R, a receptor tyrosine kinase, into the PI3K/Akt and Ras/MAPK pathways. Published work has measured cellular proliferation, glucose uptake and protein synthesis.

Where CJC-1295 and Ipamorelin act on the pituitary to trigger growth hormone release, this compound is the downstream mediator. Researchers pick it when they want the output of the axis without the pulsatility of the trigger.
