Check the vial before you calculate. At 1500 mg this is the largest vial in the catalogue, 150 times a standard 10 mg peptide vial. Ten millilitres of bacteriostatic water gives 150 mg/ml.

Glutathione is L-γ-glutamyl-L-cysteinyl-glycine, molecular weight 307.4 Da, and the gamma in that name is the structurally interesting part. The bond to cysteine forms from the side-chain carboxyl of glutamate rather than the usual alpha carboxyl. Common cellular peptidases cannot cleave a gamma linkage, so degradation is restricted to gamma-glutamyl transpeptidase. A tripeptide that ordinary proteases ignore is why glutathione can accumulate to millimolar concentrations inside cells.

The cysteine thiol is the reactive site. Two molecules oxidise to the disulphide GSSG and reduce back, and the GSH to GSSG ratio is the measurement most redox research actually reports. Separately, glutathione S-transferases conjugate glutathione to electrophilic compounds, which is the phase II detoxification chemistry the molecule is known for.
